Backstories - Gloria RosebloomBackstory Month is here, and thus the story begins! Our tale starts nine years before the start of Venustus Decus, when two archaeologists are exploring the ancient ruins of the Sanctum of the Wari. In there lies a prophecy, written by the Wari themselves... As long as A.G. doesn't get too busy and keeps drawing comic pages, this comic should be updating every day for the rest of July. Keep checking back to see what happens!

Didn't you post a Wari alphabet somewhere? Or was that another language?
...Because I'm sorely tempted to translate that prophecy now, to clear up the confusion... XD

Right, because walking into the light when something irresistibly cute is beckoning you while you're COMPLETELY separated from other people is a GREAT idea. XD Who else is getting a horror movie vibe here, even if it wasn't intentional?
Really though, good page. I want to pick one of those things up and snuggle them! <3

Hey! Are those vulpix-y things the same as ? Well, kinda. That sprite is of one of the Wari that shows up in this comic. ^_^ They're not all the same though, if you notice the colors and other small differences. |
